You may need to delete a few other forms along with it. If it's for "passive activity", you will need to delete Form 8582Form 8582-CR, and Form 8949 too, if none of these are needed.

Passive Activity Forms:

  • Form 6252, Installment Sale Income,
  • Form 8582, Passive Activity Loss Limitations,
  • Form 8582-CR, Passive Activity Credit Limitations
  • Form 8949, Sales and Other Dispositions of Capital Asset

Steps to delete forms in TurboTax Online:

You can use the steps here below to help you get to section where you can delete forms.

  • While in your return, select My Account in the upper right corner
  • Select Tools from the drop-down menu
  • In the pop-up window, scroll down and select Delete a form
  • Scroll down the Review Form List
  • Select Delete next to the forms you do not need.
  • Select the Delete Form button at the bottom of the screen and continue back to your return

It is so frustrating that your instructions here is not consistent with the turnbox.com at all.
1.  My account is only displayed/showed up in the bottom portion of the whole screen after I logged in.
2. After clicked My account, there are only 3 items showing up, you can't find "Tax Tools" item at all
3. Only when you click the 2nd item:  View Order Summary under My Account, you would find, suddenly all the other menu items displaying up from the left side of the screen, joining the existing menu times, like Tax Home, documents, etc.

I am an IT guy,  I totally disagreed with such a design.  I even wonder the purpose of such design.   I have been using Turbox tax over 15 years (?).   It is the first time I thought of changing another tax tool provider.

You are responding to a post that is over 5 years old, so the program has likely changed in that time frame.

If you need to delete a form using TurboTax Online, see the following help article for instructions:

How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online?
