Question

My 1099-G does not have a box 10a or 10b but it does have an Iowa income tax withheld box. What do I put for box 10b.

what is iowas state identification number?

Since there was no state id number provided on your W2-G, just enter the Federal ID number in that box to satisfy the TurboTax requirement that something be filled in before you can proceed.  It will not affect the outcome of your tax return.
