Question

The distribution is greater than the RMD. Should I select the entire distribution applied to RMD or some of the distribution applied to RMD?

This is for an inherited IRA. The withdrawal was made in error by my financial advisor, and it was not reversed or contributed to another IRA.

    Yes, if you indicate it was all applied to RMD you will not incur the penalty for not taking the RMD.
