TurboTax says I need to fix an error with boxes 15 - 17, because it lists the same state twice. My W2 does list the same state twice with different numbers. What do I do?
I worked for the same employer for the entire year. At the start of 2024, I lived and worked in CA. I changed to a different role (same company) on 2/1/24 that was based in NY, but continued to live in CA until 3/13/24 when I physically relocated to NY.
Is this why I have two separate numbers for CA on my W2 (I also have an NY number)? How do I fix this in TurboTax, which thinks there is an error because I have the same state listed twice?
