Unable to complete my tax filing - Early Distribution from 401K for Qualified Disaster

I had an early distribution from my 401k due to a qualified disaster in 2024 and I am unable to proceed in providing more information and the FEMA disaster number. I receive the below message.

Unfortunately, changes related to qualified disaster distributions and repayments weren't ready in time for us to include them in this release. Please revisit this area later.

When will this functionality be available? It is preventing me from completing my taxes for 2024.

Thanks

You can check using this tool here in order to find out when individual tax forms will be available.

Thanks. Looks like the form will be available on Feb. 20th. Let us hope there are no delays.

I had this error still on 2-27-25. So the next time, instead of clicking the box that the disaster was in 2024 I clicked the box for 2023 Disaster instead, and when I got to the next screen, without the erro, I looked up the disaster ID #.  The only ones on the FEMA site in the box that popped up were 2024 anyway.  Once I chose Milton and entered the code I was able to finish my taxes today.

Hello,

I tried your solution but wondered how you corrected the year under the 8915-F forms which shows claimed in 2024 for disaster in 2023?

I assume that you tried the workaround where someone said to select the checkbox for 2023 disaster instead of 2024 disaster. I attempted this workaround and the only issue I see is that you won't be able to spread the taxes across 3 years which is something you can do when filing your taxes.  Even though there is a workaround, I am waiting until the fix is available. This happened last year and was not able to file until late March.
