I received 1099-Misc as past of my Merrill brokerage account. The detail shows "other income from Canada. It flowed to 1099-Misc Income which I think is correct but it then gets moved to Business Income and I don't know why? It is not business income.

Where TurboTax reports a 1099-MISC depends on what box the income is reported in. With an import, TurboTax often follows a set path that may be incorrect.

Review your 1099-MISC entry.

Type 1099-misc in Search (magnifying glass)
Select Jump to 1099-misc
On “1099-MISC Summary” select EDIT
On “Did the Income from Canada involve work that's like your main job?” select No
On “How often did you get income for Income from Canada?” make a choice
On “Did the Income from Canada involve an intent to earn money?” select No
