1099 misc royalties what schedule c or e do I use and what do I put on my return

    That depends on what the royalties are from. They belong on Schedule E for royalties like oil and gas. But if you are in the business of creative works (books, music, etc.) then they are considered income from your business and belong on Schedule C.
