1099-NEC e-file rejected even though all the information appears correct

I received an email stating that my 1099-NEC form was rejected. The reason given was, "Your business info doesn’t match the IRS records." I used the same business information that I've filed with for many years, and the recipient's information is also the same as on last year's 1099. The form has been rejected twice, even though all the information appears correct. How can I e-file the 1099-NEC for my contractor?

You can verify the IRS information for your business using this link. To e-file, your information must match the IRS records exactly.

If your information matches but you still get an e-file rejection, you'll need to paper file your 1099s and attach the "rejected" notification to the first page.

For step-by-step instructions on how to paper file, see this TurboTax Help Article

The IRS usually gives a five-day grace period after the due date to fix e-file rejections.

Thank you for your help.

I opened the IRS link that you provided for me, but I couldn't find where to check my business information. Could you please be more specific? My business is a sole proprietorship, and I file Schedule C every year.

Also, I have an individual ID.me account, so I used that information to log in to the IRS and the page below showed up. However, I don't know where to go. Please help. Thank you.

Designated Official would be your role.
