1099-NEC from Solar Sales Commission

I received a 1099-NEC for Solar commissions in the amount of $2000. I don't think Turbo Tax is calculating my EIC and Child Tax credit correctly.

    The EIC is a fraction of what it was last year when I made more money as a W-2 employee and it’s not calculating any child tax credits this year.

    How much more did you make last year?

     

    The EIC is on a bell curve.  It starts at $0 then increases as your income increases until it hits the peak amount, then starts going back down.  You may have been at the best spot last year and with less income, you may get a lot less then.  

     

    Also, did any of your kids have status changes such as turning 19 and not being in school?
