Advance I never received my second stimulus check so I’ve been struggling I do have a job now but is there anyway I can get an advance and I was wondering why I wasn’t able to do direct deposit

If you didn’t get the full Economic Impact Payment, you may be eligible to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit

All first and second Economic Impact Payments have been sent. Check your final payment status in Get My Payment.

If you didn’t get any payments or got less than the full amounts, you may qualify for the Recovery Rebate Credit and must file a 2020 tax return to claim the credit even if you don’t normally file.

You can also apply for the Stimulus check when you file your tax return.  The form is the Recovery Rebate Credit.  Is asks which Stimulus payments you have received and compute the difference to include in your tax refund.

Here’s how:

• Enter all of your federal return information as you would normally. During the Federal Review, we’ll check if you meet eligibility requirements for the stimulus payment. We'll ask a few questions about any payments you've already received and then let you know if the Recovery Rebate Credit applies.
  • If you need to make any changes to your stimulus credit responses, search for stimulus and select the jump-to link at the top of the search results to return back to the section. Enter your updated info and Continue.

It’s important that you enter the correct amount of each stimulus payment you received. The first stimulus payments were made between April and September of last year, while the second round of payments were delivered during January and February.
