Question

Business bank account opened late in year

My business opened in late 2020 but I did not open a business bank account or get a business credit card till July of 2021. Up until July I used a personal credit card for purchases, and only used that card for business purposes only (all transactions on it are for business only). Up until July I set aside one of my personal bank accounts to only perform business transactions (paying credit card and other business purchases).

Will this be a problem when filing taxes?

Do I need to report that I used different cards and bank accounts?

I appreciate you answering this question for me!

No, you will not need to report that you used difference bank account and cards.

You will report your total income received and your business expenses, regardless of which account the payment was issued.

I hope you find this information helpful!
