I am a new Mary Kay Consultant and my business is predominately online. I use mass messaging services, marketing management, take educational classes for makeup application and social media marketing. I also do a lot of shipping from home. I am unable to determine where to add these expenses under the business section on my Turbo Tax......what topic they go under. I've looked at every category and can't figure it out. Can someone please direct me?

The best category to use on Schedule C when things do not seem to fit anywhere else is Miscellaneous Expense.  Using this category you can give the expense a description that is meaningful to you and your business.

Thank you! I did use that section for some other things. I also didn't understand what  Cost of Purchases meant and materials & supplies, other costs to prepare for sales.

I sell skincare and beauty items. I need packaging materials etc for shipping. So does all that go here or under home office stuff. Slightly confused.

The cost of packaging materials would be considered materials and supplies and the cost of products sold would be considered purchases. They go in the inventory/cost of goods sold category, not in home office expenses.
