Business expenses for a maintenance company that receives a 1099

I have the personal and business version, where do i enter my expense for my work, in what section, last year i entered it in other expenses but the IRS ask me for a detail list on why i entered in other expenses, they where calling it cost of goods sold, but in the program, COGS says its for manufacturing

You would enter your work expenses under the 1099-MISC section.  Here are the steps:

 

In TurboTax Home & Business desktop, 

  • At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in "1099misc" and Enter
  • Select Jump to 1099misc
  • Follow prompts
