I stay in Mexico most of the year because of work, however i am a California resident and travel back to California each month or so. - When asked where you live (for taxes credits) what do I input for turbo tax.

You live in California as a resident. However your tax home is in Mexico. "A tax home is the general locality of an individual's primary place of work. It is the city or general vicinity where his or her primary place of business or employment is located, regardless of the location of the individual's residence." Ref: IRS
