I'm really in a financial bind and still waiting for my w-9 can I do my w-2 first and once I receive w-9 file those?

You would not be waiting for a W9 as a W9 form is what you complete to provide your correct Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) to the organization that is required to file an information return (1099) with the IRS to report income paid to you.
