Can I pay what I owe on my 1099-nec form out of my tax return I will be getting back from my w-2?

Enter all of your income on the same tax return. The software calculates the amount you owe and reconciles that against the amount you had withheld from your W-2. You will have to enter everything to seen how it turns out.

Because you have self-employment income you need online Self-Employed software or any version of the CD/download so that you can prepare a Schedule C and enter your business expenses.
