Coinbase 1099-MISC does not provide a State ID for Utah in Box 17, does anyone know what it is?

Are boxes 16 and 18 blank?

    • If so, make sure all 3 boxes, 16-18, are blank.  Make sure the fields are completely empty.  Put your cursor in the fields and clear them; hit the delete/backspace buttons a few times.
    • If there is an amount in 16 or 18, enter the 9 digits (no dashes) from the Payers TIN in box 17.

If you do not have a state ID on the 1099-Misc and there are numbers in box 16 and/or 18, then you would enter the federal ID for the state ID.

Thank you for responding!   I would like a follow up question to ask.   There is no information in Box 16 and 18 that would help me with this.   TurboTax won't let me file this until I have it.   Is Coinbase require to put this information in Box 17?  I tried using Payer TIN([removed])...anything to get TurboTax to accept the number.

I don't know what to do as I don't know where to look for that information.
