Do I only need to enter my 1099 NEC from Uber eats, or do I need to enter my gross pay as well?

If you have 1099-NEC for UBER Eats, it should have your total income from that job in Box 2; however, if you did other work, you should have gotten separate documentation for that other job.

If you received a 1099-NEC, you will be considered Self-Employed and be assessed both income tax and self-employment taxes.

Self-employment taxes an additional 15.3%. The rate consists of two parts: 12.4% for social security (old-age, survivors, and disability insurance) and 2.9% for Medicare (hospital insurance).
