Where are you seeing the grayed out box?

Are you using the online version or working from a disc or download?

What are you trying to enter?

I had a similar problem entering data in grayed out fields using with CD Deluxe version. I was unable to fill in the business miles used on a schedule C. I was using EasyStep and the solution was to find Schedule C using Forms and fill in the correct information there which then replaced the grayed out box with the what I entered on the form.
