Does my wife selling purses on Ebay count as earned income? She is self employed, uses a room in our house as an office. She also received a 1099K from Ebay.

If you use online TurboTax you will need to use the Self-Employed version, or any version of the CD/download. She will need to pay self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare, and she will need to prepare a Schedule C for her expenses.
