"Include all Connecticut income tax deducted on your federal income tax return except that deducted on federal Form 1040, or federal Form 1040SR, Schedule A"
This line couldn't be more confusing for a non-tax pro, and has absolutely no help. Seems like something TT could just transfer over. What exactly should I be looking for? Certain boxes or forms to include here?

Edit: Found this after, but still don't know what to be looking for. "For instance, if you deducted Connecticut income tax on your 2022 federal Form 1040, Schedule C, Business Income or Loss, you have to add that tax back, as an income tax adjustment, on your 2022 Connecticut return."

For my own future reference and anyone else this helps (hopefully I am correct), this is if your state charges income, sales, real estate or personal property tax; AND you claimed any of that on your federal tax return; AND used the itemized deductions instead of standard deductions.

Why TurboTax can't make some of these explanations less complicated and/or transfer things over for us is beyond me. All they would have to do is look at some of the more common questions and topics people are having issues with, match them with the best answers, and link them to the topic in question. After figuring out each topic I was having an issue with, I could easily make up a way to explain them clearly in a manner that 99% of people would understand quickly vs the garble that TT spits out on some of them.
