I put my business info over in the “business” section. Do I also fill this out in “personal” and “state” ?

I assume that you are using either TurboTax Self-Employed or Home&Business, right?

You normally do not have to re-enter data from your business input to your personal return.

The business entries will create a Schedule C, a Schedule SE, and perhaps some other forms. The numbers from these Schedules will carry to various locations on your 1040 schedules.

The states are populated from the federal when you first create the state. Do note that some states may have additional questions in the state interview concerning your business (Schedule C).

What you should not do is make duplicate entries, like the self-employed health insurance deduction - if you enter that in the business area, don't try to enter it elsewhere - it will carry from the business interview to Schedule 1 (1040) automatically.

Are you worried about anything in particular?
