Estimated Tax Worksheet

Hello...I'm *filling out the '21 estimated tax worksheet and my questions are:

line 1: is the AGI to include my wife's wages (she's not self employed) or just my net profit?

line 4: i will be in the lowest tax bracket, so it's just 10% of line 3, correct?

line 9: am I to include the entire self employment tax or just half that isn't deducted?

*I'm doing this manually, becuase for whatever reason, Turbo Tax didn't do the estimates for me this year (they have every year previously) and I wasn't able to go back once I pressed 'file'. Not sure why this happened, so could let me know if and where I messed up and there is a box to check so that they'll be prepared for '22.

Thanks,

Jason

You can have TurboTax prepare the estimated tax calculations for you.  Since you have filed your return, make sure you download a copy of your 2020 tax return.

Then, click on Tax Home/ scroll down and click on Add A State.

Don't add a state, and be cautious when here in your account with a filed return.  Be sure not to change any information that was entered that would change your filed tax return.

On the left, click on Federal/ Other Tax Situations / Other Tax Forms / Form W-4 and Estimated Taxes.

You can then adjust the expected 2021 data for the 2021 estimated tax forms, Form 1040- ES.

I hope you find this helpful!
