Last yr I E-filed with the state and the state rejected the return even though the Federal accepted it. There was a reason I can't remember.. What reasons are there that causes the state to not accept an e-file on a return? I paid for the service and turbotax never refunded the fee.

There can be a multitude of reasons why an e-filed tax return is rejected.  An email is sent to you by TurboTax when the e-filed tax return is either accepted or rejected.  The rejection code and reason for rejection is in the email.

If you used the TurboTax online editions there is no e-file charge for either a Federal or State tax return.  The online account fees are for the use of the software to assist in completing a tax return.

There are no refunds for tax returns already filed with the online editions.

Ok, I was about to e-file again and just wanted to not have that happen again. 🙂
