health insurance

The last year my family has been on insurance through healthcare.gov.  We receive a hefty supplement as we are starting a business and our income is lower now.  I started a new job, part time - but does offer insurance.  Can I enroll in the insurance as employee only and my family stay on marketplace coverage with subsidy? If I enroll in family coverage at work it will be very expensive (but not over 9% threshold) and coverage not as good.  Are there any work arounds or ways to keep the coverage?

If you’re offered health coverage by your employer, you can buy insurance through the Marketplace instead.  But you may not qualify for a premium tax credit and other savings based on your income.

You’ll be eligible for savings only if the insurance your employer offers isn’t considered affordable or doesn’t meet certain minimum standards.

Here is more information to find out if your job-based offer meets certain standards.
