Question

Hello! I started Uber Eats Delivery Driving in March of 2022. Do I need to file this income on my taxes for 2021? I only made about $30 in total and only did 2 deliveries

I only did 2 or 3 deliveries since I signed up to drive. I am not really a fan of it and I don't think I'm going to continue. I only made approximately $30 during the 2 or 3 days I tried UberEATS driving. I started in March 2022, and I need to know if that needs to be reported for my 2021 taxes. If so, how would I report it? I'm pretty new to taxes so I have difficulty understanding. Thank you.

If you began working for UberEats in 2022, you wouldn't have any income to report on your 2021 tax return. Also, the company will send you Form 1099 next year that you'll use on your 2022 tax return.
