Question

Hello there - I don't own or lease a car, instead I do car rentals (or Uber) from time to time, and part of that is for my work, how do i get deductions on this expense?

In turbotax vehicle expense section, it asks me about my car (own or lease) and my situation is neither so i don't know where to go for my situation

TurboTax includes the vehicle rentals section (called Transportation for work) on the screen, Before we wrap up, did [you] have any of these expenses for this [Vehicle]?

There’s no way to get to this without entering a vehicle that you own or rent. You can enter a dummy vehicle, say you don’t own it, don't list any mileage driven or other expenses and just enter your rental expenses.

Or, you can enter those amounts in Business travel.
