Question

Help please. I was not self-employed last year but my filing status shows Self-employed. Does anyone know where I can change that status?

It sounds like you are just using the Self-Employed program and are not filing a self-employed status.  To report self-employment income to the IRS you would need to file a Schedule C.  Unless you enter business information like income and expenses or a 1099-NEC you would not be filing a Schedule C.

 

If you are simply using the self-employed program, you can take the following steps to downgrade to a lower priced version of TurboTax.
