How can I change our self employed status for this years filing?

The best thing to do is to enter the business section and work your way to the business profile. You will see an option on the screen that says Let's confirm your business info and one option will be Disposed of Business in Current Year. Edit that option and indicate that you disposed of the business. Also, if you don't have any carryover items such as unused home office deductions or accelerated depreciation recapture, you can try deleting the schedule C that is in your program by following these steps:

1. Click on Tax Tools in the left menu bar
2. Click on Tools
3. Look under Other Helpful Links and choose Delete a form
