How do I file a 1099-NEC alongside my W-2's??

You will need to use online Self-Employed or any version of the CD/download.   Your self-employment income and your W-2 all go on the same tax return.

The "Free Edition" does not support form 1099-NEC. You will have to Upgrade to Deluxe if you are not Self Employed. If you are not self employed, follow the steps below.

1. Open TurboTax.
2. Go to Federal, the Wages & Income.
3. Scroll down to "Other Common Income."
4. Select Form-1099-NEC, select Start or Revisit
5. The next screen, "Do You Want to Enter Your 1099-NECs Now? I select, "Add a 1099-NEC."
6. The next screen, "Let's get the info from your 1099-NEC.
