Police off-duty side job income is not a business. How do add this income

Since you received a 1099-NEC, it is considered self-employment income and you will enter this income via Schedule C. Since no tax was withheld on this income, you will be paying self-employment tax on this income and hence need to input this as if it was a business ( Schedule C). Additionally, any expenses which you may have incurred while performing this job can also be deducted.
