How do I know if I did freelance work or not?

I was hired to record and stream masses for a church.  I filled out a form (what kind I don't remember) where I gave my SSN.  I haven't received any documents from them like a W-2 yet.  Was this freelance work?

Yes, a freelancer is defined as a person hired for a specific project, service, or task by the client (or conventionally the employer). A freelancer works on a variety of projects at the same time but for different clients. In a freelance job, one has to manage their priorities, time, and workload and do their taxes.  You should contact the church and ask them if they have sent you any tax forms related to your streaming services you provided.

You will report your freelance work on Schedule C Profit or Loss from Business
