Question

How do I report a reimbursement for expense deducted on Schedule F in the Prior Year?

I am a cash basis crop share landlord of my family farm who deducted seed expense in 2020.  I was reimbursed for a portion of that expense in 2021.  By the IRS rules, it says that the reimbursement has to be reported as income but doesn't say where.  Schedule F has an "Other Income" line but the instructions for that line do not include reimbursements.  Do I report it on Schedule F "Other Income" or elsewhere?

The instructions to line 8 (Other Income) for Schedule F mention "Income not otherwise reportable on lines 1 through 7",  then they go on to mention examples of items you can report there. Even though the reimbursements are not listed in the examples, it would be acceptable to report them there since they do not belong in lines 1 through 7.
