How to remove self employed status. Stopped being self employed because of a motorcycle accident in 2020 conducting a funeral escort.

Just start over and choose a lower version with a new account. You will not be able to transfer last years data if it contains self-employed information which requires the self-employed version to transfer to.

If you were self-employed on Jan 1 2020 and did not close your business on the 2019 tax return, then you may still require the SE version for your 2020 taxes in order to report to the IRS that your business is closed. Especially if your business had assets, inventory, and/or business vehicle use.
