How to resolve California state wages don't match error when I am self-employed and don't have a W-2?

When I attempt to e-file my California return TurboTax will not transmit it because it thinks my state wages are different than federal, but I don't even have wages. I am self-employed and file Schedule C.

TurboTax transfers data from your federal return to your state return. Before you begin troubleshooting your state return, go back through your federal return and make sure everything is correct.
