Question

I have 1099-Misc income from a telephone cooperative pay out. It wants to list it as self -employed income. How do I change that?

I've listed the income as patronage pay out, but it automatically list it as self employment income, which it is not. How do I change that?

    When you enter the 1099-MISC be sure to answer the questions-

    No, not like work

    No, not intent to make money

    Only received in 2024

     

    These are TurboTax questions, not the IRS and not reported on the tax return. 

    These answers are required to get the program to report it as other income and not self-employment.
