Last year in 2024 I worked two weeks with Walmart spark. In those two weeks, I made $243.(I never received any forms or anything from Walmart) do I need to claim this earnings on my taxes?

It depends. If you have no other income, then, no,  you do not have to file a return just to report the $243 in income you earned from spark since it is less than $400.

If you have to file a return for other income, then yes, you would need to include this as self-employment income on your return even if you did not receive a form. When you file a return, you must include all income from all sources on your return.

I also have a w2 from my main job.

When filling out that I was self-employed it’s asking “What type of income did you receive for this work?” since I didn’t receive any 1099 would I put it under other self-employment income?

It depends on how much income you receive from your W-2 job.  You are not required to file because your income is above $14,600 and your self-employment income is below $400 for 2024.  If you exceed these income requirements you will need to file the income on your return.

Since, you did not receive a 1099-NEC, you will list the income as other self-employment income when entering into TurboTax.
