Sign in and open or continue your return
Search for 1099-NEC and select the Jump to link
Answer the questions and continue through to enter the information from your form
If you have multiple 1099-NECs to enter, you can select +Add Another 1099-NEC on the 1099-NEC Summary screen
Depending on your answers to the questions in this section, and the amount of your income, you could be subject to self-employment tax on any net earnings and could deduct any related expenses. If this was a one-time payment and you don't regularly do this type of work, you aren't considered self-employed and won't be subject to the tax.
