I want to setup an installment plan online but i cant e-file first???

I want to setup an installment plan with the IRS online since it has better option than filing the form 9465 thru Turbo Tax. HOWEVER, it wont let me e -file my Federal tax return unless Ichoose the installment option AND submit form 9465. How did I get around this???

You can simply choose to mail a check. Then instead of mailing a check, AFTER your return is accepted and processed, go back to the IRS portal and set up the online installment plan. You will need to wait to do this until the IRS has actually processed your return if you want to do it online so there is a tax due to match to the request.
