Question

If I'm trying to at my 1099-nec it's no for self-employment I received for non-employee hero pay not sure what to put for type of income?

"Heroes pay" is entered as "Other reportable income".  Enter the form 1099-NEC as follows:

 

Wages & income>Less common income>Miscellaneous Income>Other reportable income  

 

For the description enter "Heroes Pay 1099".  This will put the income on Schedule 1 line 8 as other income and not create a Schedule C for self-employment.
