So you are an independent contractor (self-employed) and not an employee?

No one can answer that.   It depends on your age, filing status, any other income, any deductions (standard or itemized), any business deductions, any tax credits you qualify for, and the amount of tax payments/withholding you paid, and so on.   There are way too many variables.

Also, with self-employment income you have to pay self-employment tax in addition to income tax.

You appear to be using Online Free Edition.   That edition cannot handle Schedule C (self-employed business) for a freelance contractor.

If you have no business expenses to claim, you could use Deluxe or higher.  If you have any business expenses you want to claim, you'd need the Self-Employed Edition.

If this is standalone income, with no credits or any other type of additions, you will get nothing back. You will in fact owe some Federal tax and 15.3% social security and medicare taxes.

However, you may have other income with withholding or you may be eligible for credits. There is no way to know until you enter all your information on your return.
