If I received a gift on a 1099-MISC, is that taxable?

    Yes. You enter it as Other Reportable Income under the Miscellaneous Income section.

     

    Follow these steps: 

     

    1. Click on Federal Taxes;
    2. Go to Wages and Income; 
    3. Go to Other Common Income;
    4. Select 1099-Misc
