IF MY 14 YEAR OLD SON RECEIVED A 1099-MISC, HOW AND WHERE DO I ENTER THE INFO?

He won a trip for two IN 2023 to The Netherlands and Belgium through AAA.

You can use TurboTax.

If you have Desktop, you can file up to 5 returns. 

If using Online, you need to set up an account for your son's return. 

 

In the My Info section of your son's return, BE SURE to select 

"Yes, someone else can claim me" 

AND

"Yes, someone else will claim me"

 

Enter the 1099-MISC

Select "NO not like work"

Only received in 2023

"No, not with intent to make money"
