Question

Is the money I received from employer's student loan repayment benefit taxable? I received a 1099 Misc from Scholarship grantor.

If your employer made student loan payments of up to $5,250 on your behalf it is tax free through 2025.

If you also received a Scholarship that is tax free for the amount that you used for tuition, books and fees. If you used any of it for things such as room and board or food or other expenses, this amount would be considered taxable income.
