Its showing my 1099-NEC as $0.00 but also listing my self-employment income as $xxx.xx dollars, which is correct.  Is this OK?

It is not okay if you have a Form 1099-NEC with $xxx.xx dollars.

Try to delete the 1099-NEC to see if your self-employment income becomes $0. If it did not become zero, you might have entered the $xxx.xx somewhere else. Go back to the income section under your self-employment, remove the $xxx.xx you entered.

Follow these steps to enter the 1099-NEC:

  1. Open or continue your return
  2. In the search box, type 1099-nec and hit the Enter key, select the Jump to 1099-nec link at top
  3. Click on Edit next to the 1099-NEC form with $0. If none listed, click +Add a 1099-NEC
  4. Enter the info on the 1099-NEC form
  5. On the screen that asks Does one of these uncommon situations apply? Select None of these apply to me if the payment is self-employment income
  6. On the next screen, link the 1099-NEC income to the line of business
  7. You might see your income doubled if you already entered $xxx.xx dollars somewhere else.

If these steps don't fix the problem, start the self-employment section over.
