Question

Line 8 of the SE-T form seems to be adding ALL the w-2, not just the one subject to self employment tax. How do I correct this?

Yes, this is correct. This ensures you don't overpay Social Security tax on your total income.

The maximum amount of combined wages and self-employment earnings subject to social security tax is $147,000
