Question

Missouri e-filed using TurboTax

Good afternoon!

I just completed my 2021 income tax filing for 2021 - Fed and Missouri.  I e-filed both, agreeing to the upcharge from TurboTax (Intuit) for $20 Missouri e-filing (charged from a credit card).   I owed both Fed and Missouri with monies to be debited from my savings via bank transfers on 4/18/22 and 4/15/22. respectively.

TurboTax had me printout a MO-1040V for sending to Missouri.  Why did I need to print this out (for sending to Missouri?) if TurboTax is to auto-debit my savings on 4/15/22 for the taxes owed to Missouri?   I didn't have to printout the Federal 1040-V.

Confused here!!

Missouri does not allow the payment of your income taxes through a software provider (TurboTax).  Therefore, the direct debit information entered to pay the Missouri tax will not be used.

You will either need to use the voucher and mail a check or pay the taxes directly through the Missouri Department of Revenue website.

My apologies for the confusion.  This has been submitted to the developers to be corrected.

Scroll to the bottom of the following website and click the Pay Online link to arrange a direct payment to Missouri instead of mailing a check:
