My child got a 1099-NEC. When I try to add it under wages and income, it only gives me and my husband as options re: who the NEC is for. How do I add my child here?

Income reported under the Social Security number of the child would be reported on the child's income tax return.

The Internal Revenue Service requires all taxpayers, regardless of age, to file an income tax return and pay the appropriate income tax in any year their gross income exceeds certain levels. This requirement extends to the children you claim as dependents.
