As long as you entered your income in the right spots in the software it is okay that you used the self-employed software. However, watch out for that next time, because that software is more expensive than Deluxe or Premier. If you discover next time that you are using software that is too expensive you can downgrade to a less expensive version.

If you used TurboTax Self-Employed and did not have any self-employment income, then TurboTax did not add any extra forms to your return.
If you filed a self-employment form (Schedule C) with no income or deductions, IRS will ignore it. They will assume you had no business activity.
The only time you have to worry is if you were self-employed in past years and are still depreciating assets. In that case, TurboTax will automatically add deprecation, which you should not claim if you were not in business. File an amended return if that’s the case to remove your depreciation.
If you used TurboTax Online, simply log in to your account and select “Amend a return that was filed and accepted.”
