Question

My wife received a 1099-NEC for daily stipend for training for new job in late 2022. Did not make money from job til 2023. How/where do I put this NEC?

Please enter the 1099-NEC following the steps below. If you enter it the other way, a Schedule C will be linked to it.\

 

  1. Continue > Sign out of TurboTax.
  2. Sign back in.
  3. "Pick up where I left off."
  4. Wages & Income > Less Common Income > Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 

           1099C > "Start / Revisit."

 

 

 

     5.  "Other reportable income," >  "Start / Revisit."

     6.  On the screen, " Any Other Taxable Income?" answer "Yes."

 

 

    7.   Enter the 1099-NEC.
